I just took out my CF DF with a C302 ford pressure plate and it was still holding just fine. I wouldn't hesitate to put it back in. Although with my Alum Flywheel and Driveshaft i am glad i went with the SVE mongoose Clutch cause it has more give then the CF DF Pressure plate.
My car had a little more power than yours. I broke the spring that goes around the little fingers on the pressure plate and the clutch plate itself has a crack in it. It was working fine when removed but if I wouldn't have pulled the trans and motor It wouldn't have taken more than one more dump and I might have been missing an ankle. By the way if your planning on a lot of playing at the track and on the street I recomend a blow proof bell housing unless you want to ride around with a handicap tag and an automatic one day.

Im not going to unless this 351w block i pick up gives me the itch to build a nasty motor. The Stang won't get driven hardly at all now.

Custom built! The only thing I've ever had that could hold up to my torture! The centerforce dual friction is a good clutch but I just broke one of them.
Well I've been running my Centerforce Dual Friction clutch and Centerforce steel flywheel for
13K miles now with no problems at all. This is a great clutch to use for street or strip.
The light petal effort is definitley a plus for street use.My Centerforce clutch has held up
excellent and I love it.

yea it's a great clutch mine has been holding over 500rwhp and 530ftlbs. For the last 2-1/2 to 3 years and I didn't know it was broke until I removed it.

Well the clutch is in! I got to take it for a short spin to check out the adjustments & see how it feels before leaving it for a thorough tune up. This mechanic is awesome...not fast mind you but very meticulous. He detected a few problems already & will get 'er done!

The Fidanza 1.0 ($179 from American Muscle) feels like stock just like I hoped! Maybe just a tich heavier but it is hard for me to compare, my old one was so worn out & slipped so much...anyway it engages super smoothly, no chatter but sure isn't slipping any. LOL...first thing I did was chirp the tires without meaning to, something that was almost impossible before. I could never adjust the old one so that the engagement point was lower, this one lets me adjust it low middle or high! I was kinda worried how it would turn out but couldn't be more pleased on initial impression. I am going to have fun after it's broken in!

Glad I have the Steeda triple hook quadrant, OEM cable & firewall adjuster from MM, it made it easy for him to adjust everything. I also installed the LDC mod from Lethal Perf. a spring & bushing for a positive clutch fork return & no TOB squeal. One thing to watch out for is that the Lakewood clutch fork from AM is listed as good for years 79-04...it's not, just 79-93...I bought it for a heavier duty rating but could not use it...Good 'ol AM Is letting me return it! Kudos AM!!!

Slow but sure progress!
