also if u didnt know the cobra 4vs are forged internals and the mark8s arent

the crank is forged, the rods and piston's arent

a chain is only as strong as its weekest link

i was talking about the cobra

i was under the impression that all internals on cobra 4vs were forged but i guess im wrong...
and my friend with a foxbody keeps telling me that his internals are forged and my 94 5.slow arent is this true

I'm not going to be doing any major racing with my Mustang, I just want it to have more of a "fun factor" than it does now. Besides, I don't HAVE a Cobra 4v, I have a Mark VIII (complete car).

Well in any since it's going to be a pain but the 5.0 may require more modifications than the 4.6 simply because the 96+ were made to house the 4.6 and the newer EECV ecu and OBDII systems.

forged pistons...the rods aren't forged on 86-92 5.0s and I don't think the cranks are forged either.

Yeah, 93-95 uses hypertonic pistons, but standard rods and crank like previous models.

Actually, the 5.0 isn't as hard of a transplant as a lot of people think.

To get it to fit in the k-member, all you have to do is swap which side the motor mounts are on. Engine sits up a tad higher in the bay, though so hood clearance might be an issue.

The transmission fits right on the 5.0 from the 3.8. The computer issue isn't a problem, since I have the whole engine harness/computer for the 302. I also have a possible Holley Pro-Jection setup I may get for it instead. We'll just have to see.
