im out, there is no sense on discussing with you if you never done this. :uglystupid2: :noes:
and i may be hostile because. i get tired of guys coming in here saying my buddy has done this, but yet make no sense and have no knowledge about it.
IF YOU NEED SOMETHING ELSE,YOU ARE MORE THAN WELCOME TO PM ME

i have done the rear cobra brake swap. the calipers -- CALIPERS ONLY -- are the same between the v6, GT, and cobra. the caliper brackets are different between the v6/gt and the cobra bracket, but you can make them work (i did). the moan brackets are different between the v6/gt and the cobra due to the larger rotors used on the cobra, and are not interchangeable. the caliper mounting bracket (different from the caliper bracket) are different between the v6/gt and the cobra, once again due to the larger rotor and not interchangeable. the pads are the same between the v6/gt, but the cobra pads are different to accomodate the thicker rotor. i believe they are about .4" or so thinner, but i cant remember the exact number. you can make regular GT/v6 pads work, you just have to use used pads (what i did) or file/shave down the gt pads.
oh, and for the record, the axles have to come out to do the rear brake swap. its an easy enough task, but its time consuming and smelly.
here are some pics:

click that picture.
those rotors are the 11.65" vented rotors that came on the cobra (94-04), bullit (01), and mach1 (03/04).
the things on the very top, that have the bent camp? those are the moan brackets. these get bolted onto the axle tube, and then onto the caliper mounting bracket.
those flat metal things, one under each rotor? those are the mounting brackets. those get bolted onto the axle itself, and then the caliper bracket gets bolten on there. the axles have to be removed in order to get the old ones off and the new ones on.
the things between the mounting brackets are the dust shields.

click that. that is the caliper bracket, different than the caliper mounting bracket. this gets bolted onto the caliper mounting bracket, and then the caliper gets bolted onto and slides on this. these are different between the v6/gt and the cobra, but like i said you can make them work. all that is required is a little filing off of a tab where the thicker cobra rotor makes contact with the v6/gt bracket. or pay $40 for each and ull be set.
