Looking at timing advances and it seems to basically fall on getting a extender which are still out of thie world expensive..
Sooooo http://www.americanmuscle.com/sct-4bank-custom-9498se.html looks like a good plan
?sss
1. Anyone run one for the 94-95 cobras or GTs what you think??
2. If i drove halfway across the state could i still dyno tune this or would need a new set up from sct?
3. Well dammit i really dont have a number 3 just put it up there..

I know the 94-95 cobra retards timing when we shift gears this is my main drive for chip and timing adjustment..

personally not a big fan of "internet" tunning. Ive seen alot of guys from the mazdaspeed community blow rods. IMO its just not good enough to have info on a car, you need to see it on the dyno how it acts and performs to the changes youve made. with that being said i know there are prolly thousands of people that use this tunning method with no problems at all. just personal preference/experience. hope this helps

1. Buying a chip from American Muscle would be a GIANT waste of time.
2. What mods do you have to justify a tune?
3. You might not have a 3.. but I do. The J4J1 isn't the only ECM that pulls timing during shifts. The T4M0, U4P0, W4H0... basically all 94-95 GT computers, do the same thing.

Ok mods are a complete drivetrain overhaul then full exhaust and finishing the intake w TB and spacer with under drive pulleys.
went to http://www.candmperformance.com/ with my fox had full exhaust upper/lower intake 65mm tb 70ma bbk fender and spacer msd wires cap and rotor underdrive pulleys both ac and egr delete 24lb injectors 255lb pump and built rearend. Gained about 5-20 hp throught the hp curve and another 15lb of tourqe. The car ran smoother and the rev limiter was upped a little. All around made the car fun to drive. Was about 400 for chip and tune..
If you look at my posting im stating about the 94-95 cobras i know the other cars also have it but im on topic about my car.
This is about compairing the extender to the internet chips. I would like to go dyno and see what i have to work with and go from there. Hell what can you tell me for 300/400 bucks for a mod is better then a tune period at my stage in the game.
If anyone has ever gotten one of these i would love to know how it worked out for you.

Your best course of action would be to put a cam in, THEN get it tuned. The GT40 head combo cam make an honest 300hp... with the right supporting mods.

Those being a good intake, larger TB, and 75mm MAF. Along with a full exhaust.

Until you have ALL of that, don't bother.
