this is dumb. if your buying a TFS kit, why on earth are you buying a cobra motor? you'll be replacing everything that makes it a cobra motor with the TFS top end kit.

You'll save your self a lot of hassle and money, unless your motor is hurt and the new one isn't. Why bother?

yeah, after seeing the kit, there is no reason to buy an over head cam cobra motor and then switch back to a single cam... that doesn't make sense

that year cobra was not a dohc its just a a regular 302 with better heads intake cam and bigger injectors. you should of just got a rebuilt short block and a tfs top end kit cheaper.

For $100 than yeah, hard to pass up. I like the idea because now you don't have to have your car torn apart that long. Put the cobra engine on a stand and Bolt everything on. Once complete, take out the old and put in the new.

Hang on to the Cobra parts, you can sell those and make some of your money back.

The heads or intake on that Cobra engine are worth more than $100 so you did good. Obviously the intake and rockers are worth some money too if you don't use them, also has 24lb injectors.

On a good day, you could probably get 300 for the heads another 3 for the intake, that should make a good head start for the tfs kit.

wow..... Who in the hell sells a complete 95 cobra motor for $100?!

That shit just doesnt make sense. Anybody in their right mind will ask for atleast $600....

As already mention the heads are worth a good $350+ with the rr's and valve covers.
Intake is worth another $200+
Block is worth atleast another $200
Injectors = $50 or more

Not to mention if any accessories are still on it, wp, alt, tb, ac, ps, etc....

Just happened to the right person right time. So the tfs kit is good idea then. Any other addons worth it while at it. Replace Shorties with longtubes worth it? I'm wanting 300 tq and HP at least if possible. What you think kit and longtubes get me to. I plan on allum driveshaft and possible flywheel also. Has 3550 tranny in it with pro 5.0 shifter.

with the tfs kit you should make roughly 300rwhp, long tubes are definately worth it with a h/c/i swap.
