code 217 shouldnt exist in your car

my bad i ran the codes again came back with a list 636 564 117? now it barley starts and when it does run it just barley is idleing

Did you reset the computer by disconnecting the negative terminal or by disconnecting the jumper wire as the codes started to display? If you disconnected the battery you erased the stored operating parameters (KAM) which will cause the engine to run rough until it relearns the previously stored information.

Code 636 - Transmission fluid temperature higher or lower than expected (automatic)
564 - Fan control circuit failure
117 - Coolant temperature circuit below minimum voltage/ indicates temperature above 245*F

Are you using a code reader or counting beeps or CEL flashes? Were there any operational issues that suggested you should test for codes? I don't get a sense as to what the problem was before resetting the computer.

Is your car warmed up when you pull the codes, 117 code the motor needs to be warmed up so the ECT will not throw the code.

thanks for the info. i took it to the shop yesterday to have them fix it. i got tired of counting beeps it was actually code 172 lol guess i cant count very well.
