ok new dist these things keep blowing. in 679 miles ive gone through 6 coils. first one msd. the last 5 were ford. why? all grounds good. new dist new ford racing 9mm wires.can anyone tell me what that little cylinder is that is along side of the coil . this onb a 1995 mustang gts.all trickflow h/c/i ect. after i change the coil this thing flys. after awhile it gets a hiccup. then it runs like crap until i shut it down. then start it back up no problem.until it hiccups. just once then a few mins later it starts to miss and pop. to the point where you can't keep it running. then i again shut it off. turn it right back on it runs perfect. until it hiccups.my car is infected.............yet 12.5@108 when it wants to.. driving me crazyyyyyyyyyy. anybody any ideas? would a harmonic balance cause this? I'm open to any ideas.

That little cylinder is the radio interference capacitor. It's to help with radio noise suppression. Harmonic balancer wouldn't be an issue related to missing, etc. Did you change the MAF and injectors and has the car been tuned for your mods? Repeating coil failures are not common so something else is amiss.
