Okay, so I'm trying to make a "guide" for people new to sn95s or are looking to buy a sn95.

So in this thread please submit common problems with the V6 and a solution.

Once I have enough information I will put together a "guide". I will also make updates to it, so if you have any addition info to add please pm me.

Thanks guys!

Hanging idle.. so annoying

Solution take the iac off clean it with throttle body cleaner then make a restrictor plate (smaller the holes the lower the idle but to small and it will stall) and rebolt everything together make sure to use a gasket so you dont have any leaks.

Another way to fix the hanging idle is to hunt down the vacuum leak that is causing it ;p

The only other real issue I know of on V6 Mustangs is the headgaskets eventually go out. To fix that....you change them (who woulda thought)

after driving for a while maybe 30 minutes either hard driving or light driving, when i come to a complete stop, it feel like my transmission is handing up. The rpms drop to 500 or 400 and then shoot back up to the 650 700 mark as soon as the car is at a complete stop. but if i hold the gas and brake while coming to a stop, it will kinda feel like it lunges into 1st. can never find out why it does it. did it before i got the trans rebuild and after it was rebuilt.

As funny as you might think you are being. Don't post stupid crap in this thread. keep it to problems and fixes/tech only.

Car misfires around 50-60mph even after new plugs/wires. Change the coil pack (known to go out so I'm told)!

I'm dealing with the oh so common passenger manifold leak right now just haven't had the time to take it off and see if it's actually coming from the manifold. Whats the best way to find this leak on the passenger side?

The leak from the a/c dripping onto the manifolds? Really only way to know is look down there , potentially feel around for it. Or, you can do the how to find an exhaust leak method, found in our how to section :)

It's a pain, and requires pulling the manifold to re-weld it shut.

thanks, guess I'll just have to pull it off and look at it

Another problem that I've had which I've read is pretty common has to do with the relay switch on the brake pedal the wires come loose and cause the brake lights to not come on making it so you can't shift the car into gear (on an automatic). To fix it you just pry open the little box with a flat head and reattach the wires.
