im about to purchase the extreme energy comp cam 270ah to my 2000 mustang gt with the 4.6 2V and was wondering if the valve stem would have enough clearance from the piston? im also purchasing the beehive valve springs 26113 and getting steel retainers #26113, need help deciding any thought?

valve stem????? yea thats in the head.. but you mean will the valve hit the piston, if you degree the cams correctly, and install them correctly, youll be fine. I ran them for over 2 years.

Also, what else do you have for supporting mods.

I ran the 270's myself and its a great set of cams. I did however have aftermarket valves that have a smaller margin on the valve so if your not 100% accurate on install and degree them you might experience PTV like some others have.

If going through the trouble of upgrading springs etc i'd suggest some new valves with a back cut etc to them to give more flow and clearance.
