so here's my project-car, my 1979 Monte Carlo 305 V8.

I bought this 2002 and I'm still building on it... It's my hobby and I work on it every time when I have lil time and money or so ;) LOL

current projects, rework the whole car, rebuild frame/suspension. Body will be painted something like gunmetal (dark grey)..

first steps - I cleaned a lil bit the engine and added some chrome parts..

Re: CruizinKev's 1979 Chevy Monte Carlo (lowrider project)

Sweet! You've gone a long way too. You probably don't know it, but here in the states, about 5 years ago when I still saw them on a regular basis, all the GM G-body's rusted right there. Most were rolling around with no rear bumper at all.

Like said before, want to rebuild everything. Want a clean & smooth car - good suspension, good brakes and a nice look..

something like that I want it to look like..

I'm also thinking about a manual transmission swap - a T5.

I just looked around for ideas what to do with the interior.. especially with the dash/gauge-cluster.. and found this:

It's a 1960 Impala dashboard. Makes me want to do that for my Monte Carlo. I think it'll look good with some Autometer gauges and a few other mods :) ..already found a shop here in Germany that seems to have a dashboard I want:

let's see how much they want for it..

and I also decided to get some Jag doorhandles like this..

I'm still waiting for more pics/information of the engine bay.. what do you guys think? I'm kinda afraid if the engine is okay? afraid it took a direct hit on the crank pulley..

Dunno you would have to see how the rad is and to try and figure out if the Pulley took a hit.

Okay its been long but I'm back into this project. No progress yet cus german cold winter sucks, can't work in the cold barn. I'm looking to get a manual T5 transmission for it. At the moment I'm planning parts list for 2010 to do the rolling chassis. Reweld and box the frame, change old parts with upgraded ones.
Just bought the 59/60 impala dashboard! Looking for some AutoMeter gauges like this:

Also got staggered 18" rims on the way.. will keep you posted!
