I have seen an article in one of the mustang magazines that cut eyebows in pistons while in the car. They use a section of head with a fly cutter installed in the valve guide. They grease around the pistons to keep the shavings out. Does anyone know of this shop or remember the article. Thanx

Nope and I wouldn't recommend an average joe doing it either..

Agreed. Not for the "do-it-yourselfer" at home...

i did it it was easier than i thought. the first one is a pain till you get it were you want and you can set the stop on the stem. after that its easy except you have to pull the head for every piston. time consuming too. i taped around the whole piston and used a shop vac to suck up all the cutings.

Love the article but I need to do more then sand a little out, I need to cut a complete notch the pistons have no notches being a 351w. I ordered a tool from from Lindey Tool. Thanks for steering me in the right direction.

Trying to go for shavings instead of grindings . Thought being less chance of larger particle getting somewhere it doesnt belong. I will own the tool, so if all goes well we can do a tool rental.
