damn paint

well my old man pulled the stang in the shop the other day to get the stupid ass stripe off the side of the car. well it pulled paint off the fron fenders and thrunk. :BangHead: :violent1: :angry4:. so now he is going to put a black one were the tan one was untill i get the time and money to repaint it :violent1: :violent1: :bs:

what do you guys think the black pin will look like. i wont get to see the car for a nuther month and a half tell i get back home from afghanistan

any pics of the damage? although im not surprised at what happened, i hear of people removing those pin stripes all the time (both on sn95's and foxes) without mentioning anything of it removing the paint too.

no he didnt send me any pics yet and i gess the new the pin is on already. but on the bright side of things my springs and caster caber kit should be on by the end of next week. so i will have him email pics then

although you dont get to drive the car, its gotta be nice to be having it worked on while youre overseas. i know like probably most of us, if i dont touch my car, it doesnt get worked on, lol.

yeah i have to call my dad and get all over him to get things done most of the time. lol he would rather work on his 83 before my stang.....

lol, at least you have a dad that is willing to work on your car. hell, i wish my dad would take an interest in cars in general, let alone have him work on them.

yeah that is true tho. so how do you think a black pin will look on my Green? i want to repaint it next yea so i dont hoave tp put up with for long lol

with all the other black stuff on your car, i dont think it would look out of place. at the very least, it wouldnt look any worse than the tan stripe did. im sure it will look fine, especially so when youre saying you only plan on it being temporary.

yeah when i repaint it im pait'n every thing body color. i might leave tails black i like that look. but i all that shit when i first got the car like 3yrs ago.. and now i dont like it lol. and the hood is black cause i hate white primer

That's why I hate pinstripes/decals/vinyls, they ALWAYS leave something or take something from your car . I only allow me and my father to touch my car, no-one else . Bet you cant wait to get back and drive it lol.

I think the black would look pretty good actually. That was 1 thing I told Josh not to do on my car. I didn't want the pin stripe!! Cool that your car will look nicer than you left it, I think.

is your car pacific green? what color are you painting it; back to factory color? if you go with a darker green like DFG, id highly suggest ditching the black bezels for tinted lenses instead.

it'll look fine short term, but please PLEASE repaint that thing, pac green is the most but ugly aweful colour ever

oh man its so close to. only 7 weeks away. hry rice slayer i think im going to paint my hood like yours i like that look. did you ever get back to the track yet?

Sadly no, August 8th is when we are going back up and I have slicks now . My sister's wedding is this month, so no time to head up. I have done practice runs on deserted highways(praires are AWESOME!) and instead of choking out at the higher RPMs, it's pulling hard again, 4th is the most noticable gain. Im hoping to get into the low 15s this time .

i like pac green..lol but i want to go DFG but i dont know i think the PAC Green would look sick with a dark silver pearl in the paint. but i dont know. i am doing the paint my self so it all about how long i can use my budys shop for, with what i do for paint

hell yeah man good luck at the track and hit me up with a PM when you get your new times. I miss the drag strip so the first week im back at home i am going to the strip i want to know what she will rum. i beat my budys 05 GT in a race when i was home on leave and he runs a 13.7

kj my stang was pac green, i hated it, i started seeing pac green everywhere, fiesta, f150, even if it wasn't pac if it was close, it'd turn my stomach
