Think I bent a valve or a lifter or something! $*#()$&%^^#(#&*%@#$%@!!!

It started clunking on the top left head.. And having trouble idling.

Just f**king perfect! Only 4000k on this rebuilt thing!

Gotta pull the covers off, see what the damage is..

Probably one of the lash adjusters lost hydraulic pressure.. Chances are when that happens a follower is loose enough to wiggle out and PTV contact is probable. Pull the covers, that's the only means of truly knowing.

I have seen followers get spit out on liberty's before. Never on ford but common on the jeeps. I actually drove a grand cherokee, while driving, cel came on, misfired and shot a lash adjuster out crushed it between the cam and the valve stem and I got towed back :)

Just take the vc off and see whats going on. Its the only way amigo.

My mechanic buddy said it sounds like a collapsed lifter.

Pull the vc's.... Saying it "sounds" like a collapsed lash adjuster is different from actually verifying it. Pull the covers and check to see if they followers are loose, if they are easy to wiggle chances are the lash adjusters are toast.

Hahahaha yeah they are good little valves. They like to help me out when they can. Wouldn't have really noticed it either but the #1 intake valve got bent in the process and had a god awful tick!
