So, apparently tons of people know this already, but I didn't lol. So I guess you do learn something new everyday. I was doing some work under my brother in laws Silverado when i noticed he had a factory drain plug on his 4l65e (AKA 700r4, etc) and I wondered if Ford models had factory drain plugs ever...
Turn's out they do. Econolines that were delivered to the Uhaul company used a factory deep sump (available on all 96-up 4r70's can be fit to AODE), WITH an additional drain plug built into it. So no need to make a mess anymore (after you change the first one).
The part number is, F8UZ-7A194-AA It's about 75 bucks. If you have a 96 or older, you'll need to get a 96-up filter to go with it.
