When I turn the car off, there is a weird sound that I would like to get some opinions on. If anyone has any idea what it might be let me know. The sound seems to be coming from where the video is taken. The car seems to run fine but my brother noticed a sound when I shut the car off and I can't hear it from inside the car so I don't even know how long it has been doing it.

it may be something in your a/c system, possibly the receiver dryer. try listening to it again, but make sure you have all the climate controls off and on low. not sure but try it, good luck

I do believe it is a vacuum leak because when I floor the gas pedal right after I shut the car down, it doesn't make the noise.

hmmm...i have no idea but seems like its coming from the a/c compressor. If thats not the case and
if it doesnt make the noise when u floor it and shut it off, could be something to do with the throttle
body area. thing i didnt like about the sound was the tickin at the end...

what is ring blow by? I think I'll replace the PCV valve and see if that helps at all. Where about is the pcv valve? Is it on the drivers side valve cover? How does it come out? I pulled on it a little to see if it would pop out and if felt like it was in there pretty good.

mines on the passengers side cover under the intake tube. Blow by is when the rings are warn out and you get alot of pressure in the crank case.

what are the symptoms of blow by? Anything else I can look for?

If you have it badly, you might be able to see oil on the air filter (if its stock) if you have CAI, you might be able to see some in the intake.. blow by is excess fuel that does not get burned and slips by the rings and goes into the crankcase.

The PCV sucks the excess crud back into the intake manifold, and resuses it in the engine instead of letting it drip onto the ground..

The air filter is stock and a couple of weeks ago I looked at the air filter to see if it is still good or not and I didn't notice any oil on the filter.
