Did a Little Machining Today

I desided to machine my own clevises for the wing supports. This one is actually a throw away, but it gives you an idea what they'll look like. It's machined out of 5/8" aluminum rod.

My business partner (and neighbor) has a full machine shop. So, I get to use his lathe, mill, press, and so on any time I need to make something. These pieces are far from perfect. But, they look better than anything I could have bought. And, I have the pride of knowing I made them myself.

It's a little deranged to machine and polish the support rods and clevises for a wing . . . but . . . I've always been a little deranged. ::)
