Tinted the 3rd brake light and the bumper reflectors... reflectors are still pretty light so I'll probably go over them again. And I found a pair of these tails for really cheap so I figured I'd give it a shot--if it didn't work out, no big deal. I was trying to get them about the same shade as my headlights. With the stock bezel... Black bezel... The jury's still out. I think if I run them, I'll use the black bezels--the others make it look... albino or something. For now though, I'm back to stock--red bulbs are on the way. Also.. how can I smooth out the texture? I think they'd look better if they weren't as hazy lookin.
this is exatly what i was going to do...i have a few questions what did u use? i assume it was a spray on tint? what brand also how did u prep the tails? finally do u have a shot of the rear with both tails in the pic, with no brake lights on? if u would could u post it i think it looks sweet..i like it with the stock bezels :drunk:
I like it better with the gold bezzels. I can't believe you put those tails on your hood with no towel under them, shame on you!
With the tail lights I would probably put on another coat or two, and then wet sand and buff them out so that the finish is smooth and shiny.
I've never wet sanded before... I've heard that's what I need to do though. I'm trying to collect as much info as possible before I start. How soon after the additional coats do I want to sand?
I used NiteShades. You can get it on ebay for about $15. For prep, I Windexed, then washed with the normal soap I use on the car. Professional, I know O0 As for the pic, I think I have one... I'll try to grab it off my camera a little later.
