I had high hopes this year of improving on my times before a slew of new parts went on the car. I ended last year with a 12.8 @107 1.808 60'. I figured I would at least be starting from that point since I started going to the track again in May. The only thing I have changed on the car since last years best run was I replaced the O/R H pipe with a Catted X pipe. For some reason the car is not running like it was, my trap speeds are down and my ET's are down. I ran a best this year of a 13.488 @ 105.01 1.956 60'. Every run last night got worse and worse, I ended with a 13.6 and have run everywhere from 13.4 to 13.7 every time. I had one run that was 107 MPH but for the most part my MPH has not been what it was last year. I should be trapping 106-108 but Ive been struggling just to get to 105. I dont think the cats would have made that much of a difference, perhaps the car just needs a tune up :dunno: Either way the car is going into my friends shop next week. Its getting an FTI camshaft, Valve spring upgrade, Trick flow R intake, 2 core aluminum radiator, New timing chain, cap rotor, plugs, maybe a new Mass air Meter and a few other odds and ends but thats the bulk of it. After that Im getting it dyno tuned. I should be deep in the 12's or at least thats my goal. The fact that the car is running half a second slower has me concerned though. Maybe w/ the new parts I wont even notice it. Just wanted to keep everyone updated on what was going on. Hopefully I'll have some better track numbers to report soon

The Mustangs in the shop now getting the new parts install. My friend found a few problems w/ the car that probably had to do w/ why it was running like hell. Had a few messed up plug wires, fuel rail fitting was loose going into the fuel rail, few intake bolts were lose, the air filter looked as though it had been dragged though the mud. Its in the fender so I had not taken a look at it yet. Should be in top running condition when I get it back and w/ more power as well.

It will be done this week, I plan on a trip to the track either friday night or saturday morning. It wont be tuned until later on so there will still be more in it.
