So I looked at my title and did a carfax on my car and they both say GT/GTS. I really didn't know much about them till google stepped in but I can't seem to find anyway to find out for sure after reading a few threads on some forums. I bought the car because it was 100% stock, unmolested and rust free. I had no clue about a GTS till I looked at my title. Anyone know a way to tell for sure?

My car has power nothing besides mirrors and I'm pretty sure the V6 interior. No fog lights, no power seats, locks or windows, no ABS, and no Mach 1 stereo just AM/FM Cassette. It does have a wing but I read that was a option for a GTS. The door jam sticker says 3090 for the weight which I think is roughly 400 lbs lighter then the regular GT. Good buy for $3500?

Here are some pictures of the car and interior.

Yes, that is a GTS but I dont think those door jam weights are accurate.

I would say a typical 94-95 GT weighs 3350 +- about 50 lbs

A GTS might weigh around 3200.

I know my 248a which is just a 96 GTS weighed in around 3100-3150 lbs last time I had it checked with a little weight reduction done to it so I would say 3200 from the factory is accurate.

GTS it is...thats actually THE CAR ive always really wanted...color and all...nice car man, enjoy!
and for 3500 it depends on alot of factors if its a good price or not...and if you had the 3500 to spare and love the car..who cares what anyone else tells you..

Thanks. The guy I got if off of bought it brand new and kept it in the garage it's whole life and it didn't see snow so it has ZERO rust on it anywhere which is super rare on a car in Ohio that is that old. It was 100% stock when i bought it.. I mean it still had the original plugs and wires on it. I gave it a very complete tune up and put different exhaust on it and it runs like a champ. Is there anything that actually says that the car is a GTS? Maybe a build sheet? I was thinking of digging around in the car to see if I could find it Friday.

Here is a little video of BBK O/R H-Pipe and Flowmaster original 40's on my car if anyone wanted to know what they sound like together.

Yah.. I restored a 65 Comet Cylone and we found the build sheet tucked in the springs on the bottom of the back seat.. I think it was water cooler talk at the plants where they find places to hide them.

very true. mine was garage kept by the first owner and it was very obvious the second owner (one i bought it off of) drove it year round like the dummy said he did.. and he lived in cambridge i dont know if you know where that is or not, kinda mid-east Ohio, so its not like there wasnt snow and salt lol..

so THATS what mine was supposed to sound like with my Flows on it, or something similar since i have an X not an H... i had wondered why mine sounded like garbage until i looked inside of one last night and saw that the chambers had been blown to hell lol.

nice car man, not often you see that clean of an SN in Ohio!

Very nice car and very clean, reminds me of my 96 I had.
I don't understand why people get so excited over a GTS, all it is a base model GT. I'd rather have my leather, power windows, and cruise control rather than save a few pounds, I can lose that weight else where

I think it's because they are pretty rare. I for one didn't even know I had a GTS when I bought it and knowing now is kinda cool. It's unique. Power windows would be nice but it does have cuise, A/C, and those seats are damn comfy.
