On the other forums I go to, they really have had really good results with the stuff.

I've used it in my 95 Bronco and my 85 Bronco II. It didn't really do much for the fullsize but it helped my lil Bronco out some. It didn't idle just right and after running that stuff through, it was a pretty good bit better. You're suppose to poor half a can down the vacuum line and then shut it off as soon as you can. Then you let it sit. I personally let both of mine sit for about 30 mins but some people on those other forums let it sit overnight. Then let it smoke and get everything cleaned out, then pour the other half in your gas tank. Its what I did and never really had any sort of problems.

They discussed the stuff a pretty good bit on the other forums and I don't recall anyone having any problems with it...

I'd say out of every ten people you can find that think it's awesome, you can find at least 3 who say it sucks ass. So I mean, those odd's are in it's favor, but I ain't never using that crap again.

Words spoken from a wise man.

+1 on not using it.

I tore apart a seafoamed engine before. It had sludge build up all over the place. However the combustion chamber and piston weren't coated heavily coated in carbon. The coat was uneven tho. Its best to rebuild the engine and call it a day.

Personally, I think its a gimmick. Does it work, sure to an extent. Do I recommend it.....No. Once that sucker makes it to your oil/past your piston rings, its all over.

seafoam is not gonna cause sludge buildup inside an engine. sludge is caused by lack of car and changing your oil and using garbage oil.

I can't remember his name but there was a guy on here who bought a yellow 98 cobra and seafoamed it. I think the next day he spun a rod bearing. Not saying the seafoam killed it but I think the drawbacks outweigh the benefits.

I use seafoam in my 4.2L v6 f150 and after I do the seafoam treatment, I do an oil change because some of the seafoam does get into the oil and this stuff is not intended to be in your oil.

Curious exactly how the motor was acting? Is it really slow to rev up and once it hits that high point, it acts like it doesn't get enough fuel or air for a second causing the revs to fall back down, then rev up slowly again? My Turbocoupe I had a few years ago done that. It would rev no higher than 3300rpm..

lol... Its hard to remember. This is an old thread.

It actually felt like it wasn't getting enough spark. Or the timing was going off or sending spark to the wrong plug, but it didn't knock tick or ping. Felt like maybe the distributor was wacked out. But it had coil pack and brand new plugs and wires. So it wasn't timing or ignition.

It didn't feel like a fuel/air issue. It didn't bog at all. The RPMs would just bounce back at around 3k. Like it has a rev limiter.

Still don't know what exactly caused it. But it was fine up until I tried the damn seafoam. Then it started running all retarded.

Took the car off the wrong. I figured out how to fix the problem. I have a 302 that I'm gonna drop in it. Did sn95 hubs, spindles, rear, brake system. Need to find a nice holly carb and an old torquer manifold and a fuel pump/lines. I have the bell housing. All I really need is time and a coupe hundred bucks and the ****** will run like new. lol. That should fix it.

No, I haven't checked the plugs, I replaced them a week or so before the seafoam. new wires too. Not gonna check em either. At this point, I don't care.

Theres your problem never use this stuff on new plugs your supposed to switch the plugs out about 100 miles after you use the stuff.
