Lose interest? No Im practically married to it minus the nagging and bitching accompanied with marriage :p. I do look at other cars and wish I owned a termi, but this was my first car, and I plan to keep it for a LONG time :).

My 1966 Mustang sat untouched for 15 years. Partly because of money, partly because I was burnt out on fixing things.

my car runs like trash right now... im just tired of tightening one bolt just to see another one losen. i totally understand.

Im gunna buy seats instead of U-joints that my car badly needs... It sounds like a bad idea, but if you're your warn out on fixing things; sometimes its a good idea to buy useless junk that makes you happy to get you back in the spirt of fixing it again.

its normal i think we all get hit by screw this bug. i know i have many times im on my 10th stang now and i have had that bug on every one. My last two foxes i never got to drive or finish swapping parts from my hatch to my coupe. Now i own a 98 gt the first mod motor car and its hitting me again. I think i know what direction to go then change my mind. i drive my car every day and try to find time just to do the little things we all do when we buy our cars from some one, like tune ups, oil changes, throw some gears in etc. I see other people getting there cars done and wonder why not me. lol Then i end up going to the strip or a car show and somehow get my patience back and know ill get it done just might take a little more time than i planned but in the end it will be so worth it. Just have to keep my head up and pointed straight.

Why is it down, and i want the shell if you are actually going to sell it.. LOL

i believe its the rod bearings.. i thought i heard a knock so i listened to it closely i guess a rod then i had 4 other people look at it and all told me that its a rod knocking..you can barely hear it thats why i asked a bunch of other people.. so like a good owner i immediately stopped driving it.. but i am going to have a new motor built for it but the guy went out of town and wont be back until early next month and then it will take 2-3 weeks after that for the motor to be built and put in..

so i play the sit and wait game.. if i sell my shell i could possibly buy a termi or something else.. ugh i dont know what to do..

I've gone a couple years on one restomod. If you are a car guy, it all works out in the end. The Cobra I just went through six months, then back on the road two weeks, now down a month and counting.

mines parked all winter so i know what you mean about not being able to drive it. makes for time to work on it and yet fully enjoy it during the summer months. so go out there and polish up or take the carpet out and and give it a good complete scrub down. do something to make it look pretty again and you'll be happy with it for a while.

if you can't wait till your guy gets back, get a new guy. there are tons of engine builders out there...

that's exactly what i would say. i love corner carving. ever since buying my stang i've hated driving other people's cars, especially crappy ones

I have never lost the love I have for my car. It was instant when I saw her on the showroom floor and it's lasted all the way through.

I do get disappointed when she's not running well, or creaking and clunking. But, she's an old girl now without too many miles on her but when I drive her, I ride her hard.

I'm looking forward to doing more stuff to her when I have some money.... :tongue3:
