Come on...sell the eaton...sell those pretty headers and TURBO that sucka....and It'd PROBABLY be cheaper than the KB or Whipple. Slap a GT47-80 on there, make 700 on pump and damn near triple digits on some good fuel.

ehhh, Turbos are too much up keep from what Ive been told. All the L's that have been done at AVT Performance are either KB or Whip 'ed The eaton is already sold for 450 to a local guy here with a Harley truck :)

Now Ryclef why would you want me to make even more power with a turbo, the screw blower will be more than enough to give you a free set of white racing stripes on you purty stang :coolsmiley:

I don't know why a turbo would be any more upkeep than a blower.

While you take that "truck" to lowes for your next lumber run, you might wanna pick up some screws for you doors...you're gonna need to put them back on somehow after I blow'em off...or you can just put them in the bed!

I cant say for sure, I just had been told by Todd and Anderson that the turbo lightnings require a lot of attention and maintaince compared to the screwed blower ones??? :dunno: :dunno: so that turned me off to that idea .......Plus go to NLOC or SVTP and look for trubo Lightnings....you will be hard pressed to find more than just a couple.

Are you asking me??? If so I cant tell you......JLP did not have the traction bars in stock at the time so I couldnt order them, and with that being I put off getting Bajas and slicks so I have no track times yet :crying: but going by other L's with the exact same mods anywhere from a 11.99 to a 12.20 seems to be the norm with good track conditions and weather. Those that brake into the 11's have done weight reduction also ( removed tailgate / pass seat / spare-jack and so on.....)

You don't need traction bars and slicks to go race - JUST GO RACE! Hell, I raced the piss out of my poor daily driver which has 100% factory suspension. I even kept the cargo net in the trunk.

Go race - have a good time and come back with some numbers for us.

Paul.

wow, its obvious you've NEVER been in a Lightning before :nonono: :nonono: this isint a Honda dude :hammer: :hammer: :hammer: Ive got 524ft lbs at the TIRES and that equals NO traction :crying: :crying: :crying: I have 305 drag radials on right now and it spins all the way thur 1st gear and still spins into second, then spins again on the 2 - 3 shift. Common rule withing the L community if your sporting big mods, going to the track without SLICKS & TRACTIION BARS = dumb ass L owner :hammer: Id rather be safe than sorry in the long run. :)

Seriously, just take it to the track. Hooking a COLD HIGH PSI DRAG RADIAL on the STREET is completely different than a prepped track man. Quit being a sally and get a damn base line. Mine had 430tq to the tire and i ran it on the stock F1's....I know what it is....

....yer scared.....

....that I might show up and yank the headlights out the buckets on that truck

My car made 442 rwtq n/a and 615 ft. lbs. on spray and weighs a few thousand pounds less than your truck - I raced it on 275/35/18 Kumho street tires. It's not like you're trying to pilot some 6 second pro-mod car on nitro.

You need to quit being a nancy and race that thing. :uglystupid2:
