Door chime

Anyone know how exactly these work? Is there a specific module that has the mp3 or whatever file to play when the door opens? I was wondering if it was possible to swap out my door chime with the new ford door chime.

No. It doesn't play an MP3 file, or anything like that. As far as I know, there's nothing you can do to change the tone. It's just a module that looks like this:

No prob. It ties into a lot of systems like the ignition, doors, and lights.... I'm sure with some knowledge of electronics and some ingenuity, somebody could come up with something. But as far as I know, there's no way to change it.

I hope someone does. I'm not that good with electronics. Only wires I've messed with was for my head unit and sequential tail lights.
