Aluminum Sidemounts = Dumb

Fixed.

i have to agree, changing your track to aluminum is kind of a waste of effort, you lost maybe 5lbs at the most, thats equivalent to taking a shit before sitting in the car

its more that 5 pounds.... i am eliminating the sliders all together, which is weight. The aluminum base weights alot less than the steel piece.

and weight is weight...doesnt matter where you lose it.

It absolutely does matter where you lose it, for so many reasons.

Dude, I wouldnt want aluminum seat brackets because steel is stronger... I want very strong seat brackets in case of an accident.

where the weight is lost does matter. but having a steel seat bracket instead of an aluminum based on safety reasons is pretty stupid.

When every post Handz makes is something to the effect of "look how much more poser I can be with [insert stupid idea here]" it makes it kind of easy.

Paul.
