I just bought some new driveshaft bolts since I had lost my old ones however when I try and install them it gets really difficult. Is just because of the loctitie that is on them or is it something else?

Did you paint the pinion while everything is apart? Curious if that's what is causing them to not thread easily.

Nope everything underneath is stock. It went in easy enough at first but once I get towards the last quarter of the threads I can’t get any further while using a wrench

Check the thread pitch on the flange bolt holes
Check the pitch on those bolts yo picked up
The head should be a 12mm
Not to sure about the thread
If its tight and still turns you should be ok
You don't want them backing out

Yessir those are the bolts I got. 12 point 12 mm I’m unfortunately at the point where I have to use a jack in order to turn the wrench which is painstakingly slow

That's how I had to remove mine, using the jack on the wrench to break them loose, but they installed back pretty easily. It must be that loctite on the new bolts making this more difficult.

I put in park with hand break
And in first gear or reverse
And knuckle bust it off
And knuckle bust it on
Lot easier that way
Unless you have the right impact with swivels sockets

maybe where they thread in are dirty? You can chase those hold and see if they go in after that

Those bolts are difficult to get on. But jfc not that hard! If you need a jack to spin the hand wrench you should immediately stop and back them out. The thread is definitely full of corrosion since you've had them out long enough to lose the bolts.

Use some penetrating fluid and chase those threads backwards and forwards a couple times.

Using a jack to remove or install that is not good

Mine were tight from a little rust but still was able to remove and install and were pretty tight
Like I tell everyone dont make love to it
Just get shit on and off
