But I've also heard some horror stories. Everyone who has a sucess story tells me it takes patience and proper prep work. Any pictures to back up your opinion?For instance... I have a friend named Julio who was buying a really cute little civic hatch with an amazing deep black paint job with two pearl white stripes. The guy he was buying it from said he didn't know who did the paint but that he'd never had any problems with it and told him it buffed to an amazing shine. So Julio got in contact with the original owner to find out that it was all duplicolor. He'd done gloss black and then used the "Mirage" Ice to do the stripes, then used the "Effex" over it and then six clear coats. The paint was two years old when I saw it and it looked great... But I also saw a Celica yesterday where the paint and clearcoat were both peeling after two days... Perhaps they just didn't prep?And while "rattle-canning" my car isn't what I had in mind when I planned on repainting it, I thought I might ask for some more opinions before I totally shut out the idea.</blockquote>
