EGR Delete Plates

In the middle of my turbo build and thought I could easily find these like I can for fbodys....apparently not lol. Does anyone know where I can find these?? I'm talking about on the back of each head, and the intake one.

You could just use bolts. But i think it was trick flow that makes them.

UPRproducts sells the intake EGR delete. I got mine from there.

The plate is easy to find, it's the same thing as the 351w fuel block off plate

I think it was the cleveland actually. and the things in the back of the heads aren't EGR they're smog.

What have you used for the back of the heads? I imagine I could just plug them. Mine are still on the car...anyone know what size they are so I don't have to buy 20? lol

Now that I've had time to search around, I found a good link. The plate for the intake has already been listed, but here's the link with good info and pictures for the back of the heads. Looks like a 9/16 coarse thread G5 bolt, 1in with washers to plug it up

On the intake its a EGR delete plate, I have found these on Ebay from cjrpony. They have three styles to choose from 87- 93, 94-95 and 4.6. They are $5 and made of thick steel and laser cut. UPR also has the plates but they are thinner. The hole in the head I call "thermactor plugs", you can get these on Ebay from inmotionpsarts for $9.50. You can also cut the tube that runs across the back of the heads connecting these two holes flip it around and bolt it back. I used the plugs.

the thermactor holes in the back of the heads are 5/8-11 And you need bolts that are no longer than 1" so you dont bottom out on the inside of the castings, which can crack the heads.

Like Adder said, I used bolts that I cut down to 3/4" long since the shortest they sold them was 2" or something. If i had known how easy it was to find the plugs though I would have just done that.

I got the thermactor plugs from CJ Ponyparts and Wazee [on e-bay] for the egr block off plate and the cap for the egr on the exhaust manifold.

I tried both the 5/8 and 9/16 today with no luck. I imagine a 1/2" will work, so I'll try that tomorrow. Should have picked them up while I was there..

95-stang, how do those thermactor plugs go in? They look weird

They just screw in using a large flat bladed screwdriver [i put a bit of exhaust paste on them to seal] then screw them home flush and then used a centre punch to stake them in just to be extra sure.

I actually ended up cleaning out the whole with some carb cleaner and the 9/16" went in perfect. One less thing to worry about

they are the wrong size... clean the threads out some more, and put a fucking 5/8" there
Im so sick of al these noobs thinking that I have my fucking head up my ass when I put these bolt dimensions out.

The heads take a 5/8"-11 thread pitch... nothing more, nothing less....
