Hello,

Just getting back to a problem I had posted on before and am finally getting around to actually checking. So I was having problems with engine surge while driving my 1994 3.8 L V6 while driving at a constant speed. It was recommended to check the EGR and vacuum lines--I found out there is a leak around the EGR valve that was installed.
1. How do I correct for the leak--do I have to uninstall and reinstall the EGR valve with a new gasket?

2. When I did the initial install I had an issue with one of the EGR bolts cross threading, so I backed it out and got it set straight and put it on--it was very tight to put the the EGR bolt in when I did it. Is there some way to clean out the threading on the manifold to get the bolt in easier?

Thanks!
