Engine mount question, engine sits high

to me it looks like the position is the same
here is another sample of mine without super charger about the same
even this one on the stand looks the same distance or placement close to alternator
i don't think you're missing anything
may be the water tank is different

No offense but I'm not following. I was just mentioning the water outlet tube in relation to the car body. Let me make a side by side to show the delta.

ill compared to mine see whats going on with it

If lowering the engine is what you want to achieve, you could always go solid mounts. Having installed a 5.4l, its tall. Installing the solid mount gained me roughly an inch of clearance at the hood. Alot of folks dont like the solid mount engine vibrations resonating the car, but I dont mind it.

I Had the energy motor mounts melt on me.
Motor still clears the frame....

I have solid mounts and OEM DEI that I could install next.

Do the solids really introduce all that much vibration? I just don't mean to do motor mounts three times...

Then there is the issue of the original heat shields which I threw out...

I still owe y'all photos from underneath. I've been busy and traveling so hope to get that uploaded Sunday. I went ahead and ordered the solid Maximum Motorsports mounts. No tracking yet but hope they arrive soon.

Hmmm... do you really gain an Inch of clearance??? And no goofy K spacers?

I will take a few pics under the car tomorrow its on my lift now so i will get them and then you can compare
also you may want to check make sure you don't have the 94-95 k member
not to sure about the difference from 94-to 96 the OEM K could be the same

Here are the Maximum Motorsports mount photos. They got me about 1/4" more. I cut the throttle cable bracket on the KB SC a bit more and had to install the OEM intake. The JLT was also hitting the stock hood. I wonder if the worn out mounts were there by design or the original owner just installed the KB with it that way.

So your motor mounts are a bit different
Mine have the rubber pad witch you would think it would be thicker and raise it a little
I dont see a rubber pad on yours is it a solid mount
