Engine Over heating at idle

Hey guys, I’ve had an issue recently where I would sit in my car from my break around 15-20 minutes and it would start overheating. The ac is on and the fan does turn on as well but what I noticed is once it starts overheating the compressor turns off and if I rev the car a bit it starts going back down and kicks the compressor back on. Does anyone know what this could be? I have changed my water pump, thermostat, radiator hoses, and ac compressor. I do believe though that maybe my heater core might be leaking. Any suggestions what could be my issue??

If the heater core was leaking you would smell coolant inside the cabin, and probably see green water in the passenger floorboard. The carpet would be soaked and the system would noticeably lose coolant. This a 94/95 or 96+?

It could be an air pocket. If you changed a bunch of stuff and a lot of air got inside, there could still be some left and the water/air just slide against eachother until something inside changes (fluid flow from revving). You'd notice a leak either through a sensor or checking the reservoir if 96+.

It could be the fan is getting super old and doesn't move enough air, but that's easily checked with a hand behind the shroud.

It’s a 2004 and I don’t really smell antifreeze but the passenger side is always soaked. I also don’t get no heat and I tried burping it as well maybe I didn’t do it correctly

Yeah, then your heater core is definitely fooked. You have to pull the dash, but there's vids on it on Youtube. It's actually not that bad of a job.
