Has anyone ever totaled their receipts? I keep every little receipt (including supplies), but haven’t gotten up the nerve to take the time to chronologically put them in order and/or total them up. I’m curious what the number is, but also not sure if I want to know! Probably could have retired by now if it all went into IRA’s or 401’s! (hard swallow)

Given the thousands and thousands of dollars plus the untold hours wrenching, that would probably cause depression to set in especially knowing a bone stock EcoBoost would prolly embarrass me at the stop light grand prix. Thanks, Daryl. Gonna go cry now. ;)

I had been keeping all my receipts in a folder for if I needed them but had been avoiding adding them up just to not make myself feel stupid. I had to finally do it when I went for classic car insurance...

I am honestly scared to total up all my receipts. I've owned this particular Mustang since 2004 and have compiled quite a few receipts over the years. 2 new engines, 2 trans, 1 SRA, a shitload of MM goodies, turbo etc
I do however keep all the recipts, along with the car's old registrations in a binder.

Mine is only about 1/4 of that, so I feel moderately better!
Somehow.

I have a rolling mental ballpark tally. Plus cost of buying the green car with 22k miles on it. I'm hovering around a new track pack GT. Honestly it's not that bad. Lot of DIY.. and a lot of selling parts and items to roll the money back in.

with the agreed upon price with the one I went with they wanted a list of the parts on the car and the work done to justify the price.

I am pretty sure that if I were to have told them that if I did tell them I would have to kill them, that I would not be approved. It is just a hunch I have but....
