Wasn't happy with the look^ so I pulled the spacers. The wheels fit a lot better and it doesn't look like I need the MM IRS bolts but now my drivers rear tire is rubbing on the quarter panel. I'll give it some light massaging tomorrow.

what would you say the whole IRS swap cost cha. I am thinking of doing this to my car at some point after paint? :)

DOn

Bought the IRS with 31 spline carrier/axles, Magnaflow catback, H&R springs, MM front brace and rear Billet Flow brace for $1200. Spent another $1000 on FTBR IRS parts but I wanted it done right the first time.

Regular 99/01 & 03/04 Cobras and the 2000 R were the only years that they were available. I spent almost a $1000 on my former SRA setup and am blown away with the IRS. Definitely my most favorite mod that I have done to the car in the seven years that I have owned it.

Sweet, I will have to start looking around, I need to finish mine off, and get the paint done, then i can think about a IRS swap...Sounds like a blast to drive

It is a T1.

Not much new lately. I rolled the fenders this afternoon to try and get rid of the rubbing. They are still hitting in a couple of spots and my conclusion is that the 315/35/18's are simple too wide with the IRS. I feel safe driving with them for the summer but I think a 295 or maybe 285 will fit better and have no rubbing and actually look better with the wider stance of the IRS.

I'll keep the wheels but drop a couple of tire sizes. I bought my IRS from a friend who switched over to a SRA since he drags his car. I used his 99 catback and everything fit fine.

Loving the IRS swap. Car looks so good. I've run through the thought of doing the swap on mine very often, but not 100% sure I want to put that kind of money into the rear end just yet.

Ok thanks man!

Sent from my Bio Bionic

Glad to help.

With what I sunk into my s/c, SRA and other brain cramps it was money well spent. With the parts I sold the IRS rebuild didn't cost me any "new" money.

Great build thread, I have always loved your car but never researched to see if you had a thread. Glad it popped up today.
