I thought about doing them on my side exhaust. IT would not be too hard to make it feed right past the muffler and straight out the same tip.

That would be perfect for buttheads talking on the phone while driving. Just ride next to them at about 3000 rpm. WHAAAAAAA The only way it would be better is if you were in a big 4x4 with the side pipe at window level.

Theyre not that expensive anymore. Jegs sells the solenoids for (2.5" dual exhaust) for about $250, and the "Y" splits cost about $30. If you install it yourself, youre essentially giving your whole exhaust a "new tone" for about $300, as opposed to a catback that would cost you at least $300 alone.

I was thinking about the enjoyment I would get when my open exhaust V-8 tells little-ricer-boy "SHUT THAT LITTLE FART MACHINE THE HELL UP AND GET A MANS CAR!" and the look it would make on their face. Open pipes trumpeted out right in their face should do the trick don't ya think?

How much are they now? I actually need to get the a little work done on it.

I had the summit kit on one of my cars a couple years ago. Pretty good. Leaked a little, (Sometimes, lol) but most of them do.

Some of those kits still sell for like $600. As far as I can tell, the only thing Jegs doesnt offer in their electric cutout kits, is the piping itself, which they sell separately for about $30 per side. So if its essentially the same thing when you buy both things, thats a pretty good deal and a rather cheap mod for the huge difference in tone without sacrifising changing the entire exhaust system around.

Hello everyone. Recently I prepare to buy electric cut outs (QTP Performacne) but I want to know how you have it installed on your cars (some pictures)? Unfortunately in Poland we do not have equal path and I'm afraid that I can put out something. I have stock V8 96'.
Sorry for my spelling but I use google translate :)

I have wondered if I could fit one between the main pipe and the exit in my side exhaust..... I think that would be even cooler to have it out he same hole.
