Hey, So I used the search feature and I was not able to find what I was looking for, I know its probably there, but It's easier to get a quick opinion.

I am going to get a set of Flowmaster 40's for my car.

I don't want to get a whole cat back, I don't want to replace my mid pipe or cats, I just want to swap mufflers out.

What size inlet/outlet should I get to match as close to stock as possible?

IIRC the factory pipes are 2-1/4. and youll need offset inlet/outlet. not the same side either

I may be wrong, but I have a pair of SN rear pipes that are 2.5". Dude I bought them from claims they are 94/95 stock. Look to be 2.5" all the way to the muffler. Not sure what the factory H is.

+1 on the offset muffler.

my stock tail pipes are 2 1/4" and they appear to be the same all the way to the muffler, if not even smaller.

I think Gt is 2 1/4 and Cobra is 2 1/2. I could be wrong but I know cobras are 2 1/2 in 96. I have a flowmaster 40 catback thats used for $170 if your interested. Shipping would be a killer though.

Stock GT is infact a 2 1/4 with some of the shittiest bends known to man. But if you want to retain them then you'll definitely need a 2 1/4 offset muffler

94-95 GT and Cobra's came with the exact same exhaust.

and it most certainly was not 2.5"

just buy a used flowmaster catback and be done with it. would probably be easier.

wont require replacing of any midpipe or cats.

94-97 GT/ cobra exhaust is the same too if i am not mistaken(catback wise anyways)
