Exhaust

I just bought a 2004 Mustang GT and I was curious if anyone could help me out with picking the right exhaust I want it to be loud but have that true Mustang sound. I don't like the sound of a raspy exhaust and I know I want the Dr. Gas X-Pipe but the I am not sure what will create the a louder exhaust the Flowmaster 40 series muffler or a Bassani muffler?

well if you dont want a raspy sound, dont go with bassani.

i have a bassani x pipe + bassani catback and i absolutely love the unique sound.

but if you want to sound like every other mustang out there, definately go with the flowies

X pipes tend to create a raspier sound... Bassani is very nice stuff though, and it won't rot and fall off your car in like 3 month's.

Bassani is definitely louder than 40 seires flows. Bassani with offroad X is very raspy, but with a catted X i think sounds awesome.

Raspiness comes from a straight through muffler and an offroad midpipe. Even LM1s with a catted midpipe is not raspy to me.

I vote bassani because even though Flows sound good, I'm really started to get tired of hearing them.

if you like loudness, my friend has the perfect recipie on his 01 gt:
take 1 parts procharger
1 parts bbk longtubes, off road h pipe, and SLP LM 1s, and take 3 asprin, and watch your ears bleed!
to me, it is a love/hate relationship with SLPs line. the only cars i have heard with SLP that i like were
terminators, and gtos. i have heard some good sounding 99-04s with borla exhaust that sounded pretty good,
but in my opinion, and i know everyone has them, but there is no better sound on a mustang than flowmasters.
