f1 procharger

ok i just made this thread as in something to see what people would say ... it has been done on a v6 stroker with an f1 procharger ... and no i dont want to hear its cheaper to go v8 ... otherwise i wouldnt have made this thread... im just curious to see what people think ... if someone were to do ... its obvious it would be a hardcore machine... but here are the specs for ppl to comment on ... ( im pretty damn bored right now and just curious ) ...

4.3l stroker
8:5 compression
stage 3 split port heads or fully built heads done by urself that can flow very strong
either stock ported and polished upper or ssx3 intake
modified fuel rail to support the power the monsterous f1 will produce
fully upgraded fuel system lines and everything
fully built suspension (tubular k member, a-arms)
lets just say a fabbed 9inch rear end from like racecraft.com .... they weigh with all options minus fluids, posi type unit and axles 60lbs
315's with personal preference type of drag radial out back
now for those that can handle and arent afraid to bang gears ... have a fully built t56... and yes it will handle that kinda power....
for engine management... which im sure you can make a fast ecm or similar work on our 6's..
pretty big cam like a 224/230 or the 230/236 ....

now like i said above... this is something to just get peoples thoughts... again i dont want to hear bout its cheaper to get a v8.. i dont care bout that... and i obviously know what kinda monster this would be ... just seeing other peeps thoughts...

let alone the comments... this may or may not be a build .... and i just threw some of the mods or build ideas out... there would obviously be a lot more to this then what i have posted...

Biggest problem Gary had with his F1 V6 was belt slip. If you can address that (cogs or figuring out more belt wrap), you'll be set with a 9 second car.

For intake, I'd go SSX3, Windstar or fab up something out of sheet metal.

A good fuel rail would be one of TMA's old split port rails. Those things were WAY over sized for most applications and would be able to handle the volume you'd be looking at.

You didnt post what this would be for, ill assume with your comp ratio that it is for a street car? If it would be for a race car then i would def run atleast 10;1 comp., and a cog drive would be absolutely necessary. Some of the things you mentioned sound like you would be going more race oriented with a build like this, which i would then put an auto behind it, not to say a t 56 built up cant handle the power this will make. Anyways always nice to see someone take a slightly different approach to things than others, so it would def be a good build if it were something you were planning on doing although parts wise i have no clue what price diff. there is between the sixer to the v8 shit.

well yea i can understand the belt slip for the f1 ... and honestly ... since the v6's are the baby version of the 302 and the 302 can run cogs.... even though itll be a lot of research and possibly money i may look into seeing what itll take... or how to make one work... and yea... i didnt specify street or race cause its honestly i guess more on the race side... but i would drive it on the street ... but right auto's are great... but my personal preference is manual all the way .. but ur right most drag or race cars use autos ... but yea lil roush only problem is is andy (believe thats his name from tma) is he still making kits... or cause within the last year... even thats a wide time range... from last year even ppl havent been able to reach him... but i suppose i could get my dad to fab one... being an airplane technician lol ... but yea.. this is a build that i may do... and yea it would be sick...

The windstar intake wouldn't be very safe with the amount of boost the F1 can put out. I'd do with the SSX3 or build a sheetmetal intake like you said. Cog drive would definitely be necessary as belt slip would be a huge issue.

ok .. first voodoo95cobra.. what spring rate are those.. 2ndly ... is that bumpsteer setup i see? ... lil roush ... curious but how much one of the rails?

This is what I have, but without the mounts welded on. When I had them done, they were going to be used with the first M112 version, and at the time, we didn't know how we were going to mount them. At the time, I was thinking to the upper intake lip, but then ended up going with the stock rail.

Yes, I have the returnless hook up on it... but you can just connect one end to the return line instead of creating a closed loop.
