Probably in the heater/AC switch itself. I have lost a few in different cars over the years & that is what I replaced...the whole switch.

It's up under the dash on the passenger side, behind the glove box area. It takes an 8mm socket. It's very easy to get to and very easy to replace.

So I replaced the resistor and the fan works on all speeds but I have found another problem. I let my buddy borrow the car for a few months because his wheels bearing went out and we took for ever to replace it. Any way the fan work in all speeds before I lent him the car. He only used the high fan speed would that cause the plug to burn up like that ?

No, using the fan on high at all times would not have caused that. I'm going to guess the old resistor unit was all corroded? Something was probably shorted out.

When the resistor(s) blew it could cause that damage....

Hey was the resistor a part of the switch or is it separate?Post a pic of the resister when you get it out thanks!

The resistor is a module that plugs into an integrated socket up under the dash. It's not part of the switches.
