fan to temp sending unit

does anyone know which temp sending unit kicks the fan on and off for sure? and can i delete the other one without sending up a cel im hooking up a auto meter electric temp gauge and really dont want to run the tee method? and will the tee method interfere with the temp as no water passes through it

The one that the fan works off of is the one above the thermostat, w/ the bigger connector. The one on the drivers side is the one that the gauge reads. but yea there are two plugs you can remove from the rear of the intake, thats what I used for my AutoMeter

call me a retard but im not seeing this extra port does it matter that mine is a cali smog motor?

Is this a factory intake?

Not sure if a factory intake has the extra ports...I'll have to check tomorrow.

My fault, I dont think they have the ports in the back, should have been the first question. You wont mess up anything but cause your cluster gauge to not work by removing the drivers side sensor. I think it will peg it cold. You could try the tee method, but it will look crappy...

problem solved, ordered a autometer radiator hose adapter and am gonna do that little get up

Also. 2.3L Foxbodies have a ECT inline adapter that goes into the heater hoses the can be used. I just thought about that.
