Fart cans

I notice something while sitting traffic yesterday. Why is it that every car with a fart can has a dirty exhaust tip. I mean inside and out. Even brand new cars. Like the 2008 Honda I saw yesterday.The car is brand new and yet has a black sooty exhaust tip.I thought thay were supposed to be cleaner burning cars.Older ones I under stand but new. My car has almost 60k on it ant my tips ar so clean ins and out you could eat off of them. and I don't clean them that often . just a dumb question but I am curious

If your exhaust tip is that clean, you are possibly running lean.

The exhaust tip should be chalked from the exhaust.

They are just made to look burnt at the tip.

They are not supposed to be dirty on the outside.

alot of companies like APEXi and HKS make Titanium Exhausts that weight nothing. You can buy just the Titanium Muffler form the company if you please. To show that its Titanium the company heats the tip up REALLY hot so the tip Turns Blue.
