that wasnt to the him it was to duh09. You can cheaply build a fast car that is reliable. but cheap so one person is cheap to another. Hell where i live there isnt such thing as cheap i saw a 17yr old driving his own gt500 that his parents bought him. And if he does the work him self he will save lots of money and learn something. Or he can piss his money away and have someone do it for him.

not trying to be smart but there is a difference between cheap and inexpensive

a lot of people think the key to being faster at the track is throwing more power mods at it but in reality you should drive to your potential before throwing X amount of mods at the car

thats the best advise yet!

Hrm. I will agree with most of the guys on here by saying that if you want a reliable car that can hit solid 12's pass after pass it will cost you. But I do get the feeling that you just meant what would be the most cost effective way of doing it. All I can contest to is that make sure you sit down, write out your stuff because if you are on a strict budget, if will benefit you in the long run. I thought i knew how much It would cost me to put the HCI combo in... HA! I was wrong. By the time you start putting in the small stuff (in my case a TF Gasket kit to ARP Bolts ect) and then the fuel stuff like the Pump, Injectors, MAF ect it really can add up. But Good Luck and let me tell you,

I went with 24LBS. BUT if you do the math, with my setup thats about as low as I would possibly go. I just got a good deal on a MAF and INJ so i jumped on it.

I dont believe you need new rails. I def want to make sure you go big because if you are already maxing out your INJ and you want to add giggle gas and you DONT have the fuel... ha.... that would suck.

You wont need new fuel rails. I was running #42's on stock rails and its very common to do so

mildly redone gt40s, typhoon upper, lower, full exhaust, mild or stock cam, drag radials and 150-175 shot of gas and your all over low 12s or high 11s. how hard was that

i have one and its fantastic. yes its less cost than the edelbrock piece has some casting flash. the piece overall has less tolerance than the eddy piece which explains the lower price. nothing a diegrinder cant fix. i bought mine used for 200 bucks shipped to my house. not a thing wrong with it. cleaned up some of the ports and a lil casting flash in the opening where the tb mounts. made a huge difference at more than half the cost
