Hey guys, looking to get your opinions on your favorite DRs. Got a set of 18x10.5s out back and want a good street tire that hooks really well and doesnt wear too fast, just an overall balanced street/strip tire. Thanks!

If you want something that doesn't wear out too fast the Nitto 555R might be your only choice. I had them before i went to 18's and i really liked them, I would have got them again if they weren't so expensive in 18" size.

x2 for MT ET Street Radials, guys say they only last for 2k, but thats b/s if you only use them on the street and occasional strip. My car is not a track car, but have gotten over 6k on both sets ive had...I only put 2-3k on a year so every few years I need new tires...

Mickey's are going to be a better tire but i feel they wear faster than the nt555r's i have now. the nittos don't hook as well as the mickeys but they do seem to wear less.

then again, i did do a couple massive burn outs with the mickeys and haven't yet with the nittos...

I don't think anything is going hook harder than a MT drag radial, but for the street, I've used Nittos and BFGs. The Nittos last longer. The BFGs seem to hook a little better.

I like round ones, they roll better.

Dangit Mikey, I just came in here to say

"The ones that mount on wheels seem to work pretty well"

But I see you beat me to the postwhore useless comment of the thread.

I'll second that. I've run Nittos and BFGs. I'd do the BFG again. For me personally, they did better than the Nittos on wet/rainy days. Def hooked better. BFG were also physically wider when compared to the same size Nitto. I ran 295/35 on my 18x10s.

if your going BFG, you might as well go MT. I never understood why people were even so worried about tread on drag radials....if your worried about tread get a street tire and a set of slicks for the track
