thanks man! it still has a nasty exhaust leak coming from the header but im just happy it started today since it didnt want to yesterday

sounds nasty dude. you can hear the difference of those 185s vs a 165. do you have plans of getting it tuned?

he going with a piggyback chip to the computer? or is he just "tuning it" by adjusting timing/fuel pressure/etc?

Just timing and fuel pressure. But were gonna do it at the track. It should be alright till I get a tuning system like the Anderson pms or something better

damn I am jelous. Been struggling with mine since I put a stage 1 cam in it and just hoping that it will idle again...

no need to be jelous we just got it started yesterday. there are a few things that need to be fixed before it goes back on the road. but hopefully it will be ready this weekend

been workin on mine for almost 6 weeks now between health issues and more car issues. Thought a trickflow swap would be an easy job...

yea mine still has a miss in it and the rpms like to jump while its coming down after you rev it. so we'll have to figure it out. i hope you get yours figured out man! keep us updated

my buddys dad at the track but i may try and get him to do it on the dyno. but when i asked him that last time he said its not a dyno queen the best way to tell how wel it runs is at the track

nope the cam isnt very big really i was worried about it at first but then seen other run bigger cams. also a lot of people the the trick flow 170 heads which also have a 2.02 valve and this cam so that also made me feel better and not worry about it nearly as much

Did you clay the heads and turn the engine?

I know MANY people with clearance issues with the stock cam let alone that one. Comparing the TFS heads and the 2.02 valve is apples to oranges dude. That's the whole idea of the "twisted" wedge head is the valves are angled differently to clear the stock piston. If you have not checked I would clay those heads ASAP. Your valves could be tapping without hearing it.
