Great choice!!! Nothing like a cam with 1982 era specs and technology! :uglystupid2:
an oldier but a goodie...most of us have run alphabet cams before. They were fine. I think he'll be happy. If this is your first cam then it'll be good for you.

The E cam is a proven power maker, there is no question there.

There are better and more efficient OTS cams out there, that is why I was curious.

Camshafts in 1982 were flat tappets, not a roller like this cam. So much for the "technology" comment. Also the spec's in 1982 were 260*/274* seat to seat and .416 and .444 lift as opposed to 282*/282* seat to seat and .498" lift intake and exhaust for the E303 cam. Do you have any clue what you are talking about?

And something I see a lot is a misunderstanding of the term "stall". Stall is a feature or specification of a torque converter. What you choose and buy is a torque converter. Sometimes you need a torque converter with a higher stall specification based on cam and rear gear choice. It's like when selecting another cam. You don't say "I need a lift", you say that you need a camshaft. That's why it is incorrect to say "I need a stall". Just a pet peeve of mine.

The E-303 cam should work great with minimal other modifications. Of course as with any improved cam, improved induction will maximize its affect. You should notice an improvements anyways. It's not a world beater but it will be more fun on the street. :thumb:
