Im finally installing my 04 4.6 in my 97 GT..the 04' motor came with a new flex plate and it also has a balancing weight welded to it..is there a certain way that the weight have to face..I mean does it go on one way or another..the old flex plate did not have a weight on it with the 97' motor..I dont want to install it wrong and cause any weird vibrations..thanks for any info..

I looked at the flex plate for some..there is one hole that has a slight notch..but the back of the crank does not have anything..I figured some sort of dowel or something so it could only be put on one way...but nope...thanks for the reply..

No dowel. The bolt pattern is asymmetrical. It will only fit one way. Figure out whats up with the balancing weight on one and not the other.
