Having just replaced the stock carpet with some fresh black, I am not about to put the old stock grey floormats back in. I looked around and read some reviews on some and was suprised to read that some even with the hook still end up twisted under the pedals. I want matts with the hole for the hook, would love a pony logo or ford racing, ect but do not want to have them end up a safety problem and unusable. Anyone have a set they like or can recomend? Needs to be black and cool........

Those are the exact ones I have also. For my rear ones, I just dyed them black with fabric spray.

thats interesting as that was the very set I liked, and it suprised me to have bad reviews for getting all twisted on american muscle. You guys don't have that issue? I have the mounting hook and don't care about the back anyway.

Damn sorta expensive, I would cover em with somthing to protect em. Take the cover off only when taking out the ladies...

I just remembered,,,,one of my friends had a Toyota Corolla, Toyota sent him new floor-mats because the originals supposedly would get stuck on the gas pedal!

I had my gas pedal on my truck get stuck once because of the matt. I turned the key off, then back on(so the steering column would not lock) and pulled over. I had another friend almost ready to call a tow truck when her car would not start. Again it turns out it was the floormatt under the clutch that would not allow it to be pushed enough to crank the starter.

Price didn't look too bad too me and I do not need the rears either. I was going to scotchguard the new carpet as well as the floor mats but I hardly drive it in the rain anymore anyway....

They are a little soft and flexable. I didn't replace the hook when I swapped the carpet but didn't have a problem with the mats after a couple weeks of driving. But then again I keep an eye on the mats anyway so they don't get jammed under the pedals.

These look like the cheap ACC ones? There are two brands that sell the ones with the pony logos, ACC and Lloyd's. The ACC ones look a lot cheaper (no offense) and you can see that the white bar in the logo is way bigger than the red and blue. The Lloyd's brand ones are top notch quality, thick, durable, have the whole, factory cut, and don't bunch up and look fantastic. The Lloyd's ones use licensed logos from Ford also.

Get the Lloyd's ones, you'll be glad you did...they are excellent.

Says Lloyd's right on the page I ordered from

Pretty sure the ones they sent you then are actually ACC, since yours look exactly like the ones below, whereas the ones you linked look exactly like mine. The ACC ones are the ones that have the big white bar in the middle, I spent considerable time researching these when I bought them and the ACC ones always have the big white bar, the Lloyd's do not.

No, actually these mats are pretty damn solid on the ground. They have the hook from it moving up and the bottom has bunch of spikes on it to prevent it from moving. And the solid black with the small ford racing logo looks really clean.
