Fog Light Mod Without Splicing?

I dont have a vert. I thought all your doing is switching the two wires and thats it? I'm not cutting and splicing anything..

It really depends on how you want you fogs to come on.
If you want them to come on when the marker lights are on then do the mod like in the origional post.
if you want them to come on independently then do the wire cut and splice from the vert harness.

The convertable hrns is there even in a hard top. All you need to do is swap the wires in the hrns correct you do not need to cut/splice anything.

How is nothing going to get messed up if the foglamps are a 20 amp fuse and the park lights are a 15 amp fuse. Won't the extra amps from the foglights pop the park light fuse after the wires are switched?

nope. I ran the stock fogs for a while before the HID fogs went in and never blew a fuse. then or now. and I never turn the fogs off.

sorry to highjack this man, but since I don't have fogs, when I wire them in, should I just splice them in with my DRL's and call it a day, or do I already have the wiring, just no lights?

94-early 96 v6 has wiring for fogs. Later years do not

Same goes for GTS/248a packages

Just did the wire-switch mod, took about 10mins lol.

The biggest PITA is pulling the wires from the plug, after that it's plugNplay.

Works great! Recently did this on my '98 vert and my fogs DO come on independently WITHOUT the parking lights being on
