Fog Light Switch Activation?

I am adding fog lights to my 01 Bullitt. I haven't installed the fog lights yet, but I have the switch installed and when I press it there is no activation (light doesn't come on). Do I have to install the fog lights to complete the circuit or do I have a bad used switch?

Found the answer: Headlights and or running lights have to be on for fog light activation, all is good.

Unless you/someone else ran a jumper wire, your headlights need to be on.

you also probably need a relay under the hood and a fuse under the dash IIRC
