Anyway my dad(1996 chevy 5.7l 350 extended cab pickup) and I did a little race from about 10mph to 60mph his heavy old truck was faster! I wasn't pushing it but still, thats darn depressing! I have to say my pride was a little hurt.

By the way, The Mustangs most of us are driving "still" have the gas tank issues that plagued the Pinto. Ford improved the situation some over the years but the tank is still in a bad location.

He's saying it's bad because if you get rearended, it might bust open. That's why Ford's have an inertia switch in the rear that cut's fuel flow in the even of a rear accident.
