The best setup is the one-piece oil pan gasket, and the reusable Ford valve covers gaskets, and a thick bead of silicone for the intake valley between the heads.

Paul, I think he means the half circle seals just to the left of the oil pan crossover seals. The ones w/o the retaining nibs.

The full circle seal is for Windsor blocks after 6/1/93. The older engines have a 2 pc. rear main seal. My '66 289 Coupe had a rope style seal from the factory. I hated those.

thanks i thought it was that but i had like three sets right in front of me, i got really losted. i was thinking about buying a new one seal

I've had very good luck with Fel-Pro Permaseal gaskets. I have them for my oil pan and my valvecover gaskets. Nice and clean no RTV is needed.
