fuel pressure problem please help

i have 95 mustang gt basically stock just for the exhaust the car takes for ever to turn on i measured the fuel pressure using a gauge and im only geting only 31 psi could this be my problem?

Unplug your vacuum and test it with the car running - fuel pressure should be 39 psi with the vacuum unplugged.

Funny i just measured mine today also and i have the specs for a 97, but my pressure was also 31.

What if the pressure doesnt change when the vaccum hose is disconnected?

also you know how the car holds some pressure in the line even when the car is not running well i pushed on that valve and no fuel comes out of the line at all...

The proper setting is 39 PSI w/ the line unplugged. Set it to that and you should be all set

Normally your computer will account for the Vacumn leak and try to dump more fuel to keep it running.

o.k. with owning 3 vehicles with 5.0 in it I have learned one thing on starting. I turn the car to on just to let the fuel pump to prime the system. it also allows the ecu to complete its self test. then turn it on. My 92 f150 takes like 1 second to take off using this way, the 95 gt is like 2 seconds and the 69 well its still working out issues about 4 secons though. upgrade your ignition system since the car is stock and you have some miles on it and the fuel pressure is correct.
